"In Kindergarten reading was hard for my son and his teacher started sharing that phonics were challenging for him as well. 1st grade continued to be the same and he was starting to get behind but I keep hearing from teachers they weren't overly concerned. Early on in 2nd grade I trusted my gut and decided to have my son tested for potential learning disabilities. In September 2021 my son was diagnosed with dyslexia-reading and writing disabilities.
